Once a month, the ladies of the church get together for dinner and “girl time.” For information on the next get together, call the church. Led by Denice Harvey.

Recently, the women (and Ian) of Community Bible Chaple participated in a 3.5 mile walk over the Ringling Bridge to raise awarness and to benefit the Safe Place and Rape Crises Center (SPARCC).  This was a fantastic event and we were all blessed with a beautiful morning of fun and fitness.  SPARCC is an extremely important organization in our community; below is a short description of their service.

Saving Lives Today and Tomorrow …

Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center, Inc. (SPARCC) was formed as a non-profit agency in 1979. SPARCC is the only state-certified center for domestic violence and sexual assault services for Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. All of SPARCC’s services are free and confidential. In addition to serving victims, SPARCC is actively engaged in promoting social change through community awareness and education, in an effort to prevent such violence in the future.  SPARCC serves its clients through an Outreach Center in downtown Sarasota, satellite offices in south Sarasota and DeSoto Counties, a shelter operating 24 hours a day/365 days a year and at the local courthouses.  For more information, you may visit the SPARCC website  http://www.sparcc.net/index.html

Men’s Wing Night:

On the second Tuesday of each month the men of the church join with some men from other local churches for wings and fellowship 6:00pm Wing-n-Weenies on Fruitville Road in Sarasota.

Community Bible Chapel Daycare and Preschool:

CBC features an incredible daycare/preschool which has been in operation since 1994. We offer loving care for infants through K-4. All of our teachers are either degreed or are working on their degree. We are licensed through Florida League of Christian Schools. PHILOSOPHY
We believe each child to be a special and unique individual, a gift from the Lord.  With this in mind, it is our greatest hope to impart to each child that worthiness and value.  With Christ as our example, we will strive to nurture each aspect of the whole child by meeting not only his physical needs, but also his emotional, social, cognitive and spiritual needs as well.  We believe that introducing children to Jesus is important to the process of teaching them the true value of their lives and in achieving their fullest potential as they mature.

Children are great imitators; they learn to model their behaviors by that which they observe.  Our staff has been selected with the goal of providing role models that demonstrate high standards of behavior based on strong Christian values.

We believe that the provision of a safe, stable and nurturing environment conveys to the children assurance of having all their needs met and establishes a foundational sense of trust and security.  This will lay the groundwork that allows the child to progress with confidence and enthusiasm.

MISSION STATEMENT
CBC Daycare exists to provide quality childcare within a Christian-based atmosphere.  Our goal is to serve a proven need within the community while sharing the love of God and His plan for salvation through Jesus Christ.

OBJECTIVES OF CBC DAYCARE
To communicate to parents that:

1.  The child’s safety and well-being are the primary concerns.
2.  The children are loved.
3.  Open and on-going communication is encouraged.

To encourage parents to:
1.  Visit the daycare regularly without an appointment.
2.  Share concerns, comments and suggestions.
3.  Feel welcome to attend Sunday Worship Service and Wednesday night dinners and Bible Study.
4.  To Involve their children in the children’s ministries
5.  Interact in your child’s class by taking part in school activities.
